.....and no getting up to go to work in the mornings this time.
Four of us are going on a packaged running tour....Devin, Alida, myself and a friend of Alida's. It will be Alida's first attempt at an official full marathon and I'm doing the 15K (9.3 miles). They didn't offer a half marathon (21K) so this will be a bit easier than my usual runs.
It is listed as the only race in the world that allows you to run on two continents in the same race--the event starts on the Asian side and crosses over the Bosporus and Golden Horn Bridges into Europe and ends in the Sultanahmet historic district with it's ancient monuments and mosques. Should be a fun event.
We'll also have a couple of pre-race days with group sightseeing and plan to spend a couple days afterward to explore on our own.
